CAN TRINITARIANS RECEIVE THE SEAL OF GOD?
Is it possible for someone who worships the trinity god to receive the seal of God which we find in Revelation 7 and 14? This is a very important issue, as only those who receive God's seal in the last days will be saved.
"A knowledge of God is the foundation of all true education and of all true service. It is the only real safeguard against temptation. It is this alone that can make us like God in character. This is the knowledge needed by all who are working for the uplifting of their fellow men. Transformation of character, purity of life, efficiency in service, adherence to correct principles, all depend upon a right knowledge of God. This knowledge is the essential preparation both for this life and for the life to come. 'The knowledge of the Holy is understanding.' (Proverbs 9:10). Through a knowledge of Him are given unto us 'all things that pertain unto life and godliness.' (2 Peter 1:3) 'This is life eternal,' said Jesus, 'that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent." (John 17:3) (E.White, Ministry of Healing, p. 409)
Now many Trinitarians say it is not important to understand the God we worship, claiming that God is a 'mystery'. This is a common excuse used by those who worship the trinity, because they are unable to understand what it is they worship. But if this is the case, and we cannot know the God we worship, then that automatically means it is acceptable to worship the Roman Catholic god or the Muslim god. Because if we merely say that finite mind cannot comprehend the God we worship, and it is not important to know if God is one being or a trinity, then no proposition of "God" is to be rejected, and ALL are to be accepted as possibly valid. And once you understand this, you then begin to realize the ecumenical nature of the trinity god.
And this is why we are seeing the majority of churches today involved in this ecumenical movement. They are unable to stand apart, as they all have a confused idea as to who God is. They no longer use God's Word as divine revelation and the supreme test of faith. Instead, they are led by human imagination. But those who stand by a 'thus saith the Lord' are able to stand apart from this ecumenical movement, because they recognize, through divine revelation that the god of the ecumenical movement is NOT the God of the Bible.
So can someone who worships the trinity receive the seal of God? Let us look at Revelation 14 regarding this ...
Revelation 7:2-3 ...'And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.'
Revelation 14:1 ...'And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.'
We can note two clear things from these verses. The seal is the 'seal of the living God'. And what is that 'seal'? It is the name of the 'Lamb's Father'. The Lamb is Jesus Christ, so who is the Father of Jesus? It is God the Father. Take a look at the following verses.
Matthew 16:16 ...'And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.'
John 6:69 ...'And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.'
John 17:1-3 ...'Father ... this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.'
2 John 1:3 ...'Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.'
So Jesus Christ, the Messiah, is the Son of God the Father. And Revelation 14 confirms that the seal of God is the 'name of the Father'. Revelation doesn't say that we are sealed with the name of the 'Father, Son and Holy Spirit', or 'God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit'. It clearly confirms that we are sealed with the name of 'the Father'. And the Bible confirms that God the Father is the one true God, as we see below, not this trinity god that the churches worship.
John 17:1-3 ...'Father ... this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.'
1 Corinthians 8:5-6 ...'For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.'
John 20:17 ...'Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.'
Don't you think we should listen to the testimony of the 'Faithful Witness', Jesus Christ the Messiah? And Jesus confirms that His Father is the one true God. Not only that, Jesus says that God the Father is His God too! And Hebrews 1:9 also confirms this fact.
It is interesting to note that the Jews did not worship a trinity, but knew that God the Father was their God (John 8:41). Jesus did not worship a trinity, or two other gods, but knew that His Father was the one true God (John 17:3). And the apostles did not worship a trinity, but worshipped and acknowledged God the Father as the one true God (1 Corinthians 8:6). Although they did give recognition and worship to Jesus also, being the Son of the living God.
