In a recent Twitter post, the Church of Satan said something that really cuts to the core of modern 'Christianity.' Responding to Kanye West's recent "conversion" and subsequent 'Sunday services', the Church of Satan tweeted the following message:

"Satan is the best friend Kanye has ever had, as he will keep him in business all these years!" (source)

A fan of Kanye then responded by saying Satan is 'angry' with Kanye's new album. And the Church of Satan responded to that comment by saying "We're more pleased than anything! Only those who read our literature will 'get it.'" (source). Obviously we don't need to be reading their literature. But their comments strike at the very heart of the Christian churches today. Why? Take a look at at what God said about the churches in Revelation:

Revelation 18:1-2 ...'And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.'

"In this scripture the announcement of the fall of Babylon, as made by the second angel, [REV. 14:8.] is repeated, with the additional mention of the corruptions which have been entering the churches since 1844. A terrible condition of the religious world is here described. With every rejection of truth, the minds of the people have become darker, their hearts more stubborn, until they are entrenched in an infidel hardihood. In defiance of the warnings which God has given, they continue to trample upon one of the precepts of the decalogue ... As the teachings of Spiritualism are accepted by the churches, no real restraint is imposed upon the carnal heart, and the profession of religion becomes a cloak to conceal the basest iniquity. A belief in spiritual manifestations opens the door to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. The influence of evil angels is felt in the churches throughout the land." (The Spirit of Prophecy, Volume 4. p.421)

Babylon in Revelation 17, the 'mother', represents the Roman Catholic Church (see our Whore of Babylon page for more info). But in Revelation 18, she represents the various churches of the world which have become 'fallen.' And what did God say about the condition of the churches? That they have "become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird." So who do you think is happy with the churches and 'modern Christianity' today? Yes, that's right - Satan!

Why is Satan happy with the churches today? Because He is the one influencing and controlling them! They have become "the habitation of devils and every foul spirit."

Instead of being purified by the Word of God and the Spirit of Christ. Instead of turning away from all sin and worldliness, the churches have EMBRACED the world and have brought the world into the churches. They have UNITED the profane with the sacred. They have done exactly what God told us NOT to do - "learned the way of the heathen." (Jeremiah 10:2). Kanye West hasn't turned away from worldliness, he has simply MERGED it with Christianity, which keeps people in sin. And that is what the various churches of the world have done. Instead of seeking the TRUTH that is found in Jesus Christ the Son of God and following Him alone, the churches have followed the teachings of man. And thus they have become 'fallen Babylon.'

Remember what Emperor Constantine's so called 'conversion' to Christianity did? It UNITED Paganism with Christianity and ended up with the first 'Sunday law'! We are seeing the same happening today!

Ezekiel 44:23 ...'And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.'

Take a look at the account of Nadab and Abihu in Leviticus 10:1-2. These two priests of God offered 'strange fire' to the Lord, which went against His specific command of how to worship and serve Him. And what happened? God destroyed them both with fire. Today, the churches are doing the same thing. They are offering worldly, common worship to God, not giving Him the reverence and respect He deserves.

Psalm 89:7 ...'God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.'

The churches today have been turned into entertainment centres, rather than holy places of sacred worship!

Isaiah 5:20 ...'Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!'

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 ...'Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.'

No wonder the Church of Satan can say that they are happy with what the likes of Kanye West and the various churches of the world are doing. They truly have become the 'habitation of devils.' All manner of sin is now embraced in modern 'Christianity.' And the various churches are coming together in one big Babylonian soup, in this ecumenical movement. Which is why God is calling:

"Come OUT of her MY people, that ye partake not of her sins and receive not of her plagues!" (Rev.18:4)

Yes, God still has a people in the fallen churches of Babylon, but they must heed the call and come out of her. They must embrace the pure message of the gospel. They must seek the truth with all their heart and soul. And when we seek after God and His will with all our heart, then we will FIND Him.

Jeremiah 29:13 ...'And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.'

Matthew 5:6 ...'Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.'

Do you really think that having Christ's righteousness, we will continue to live lives of sin? No! No! Truly abiding in Christ and allowing His Spirit to lead us will result in holy, consecrated lives. Which is why the truth of Christ and His righteousness is vital for the world today. 2 Timothy 2:19-22 ...'Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.'

Ephesians 5:27 ...'That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.'
