THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS GIVEN TO JESUS CHRIST

There is a simple and clear truth regarding the Holy Spirit which many people miss. While the masses believe in the trinity doctrine and think that the Holy Spirit is a separate being from the Father and Son, the Bible clearly and simply reveals that the Holy Spirit is in fact something that was GIVEN to Jesus from the Father and then literally 'poured out' upon God's people.

John 16:7 ...'Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.'

John 7:38-39 ...'He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)'

So we can clearly see in these two verses that Jesus had to go back to heaven to be glorified before the Holy Spirit could be sent. Now pay careful attention to the following verses, as they reveal what the Holy Spirit is, and prove beyond doubt that the Holy Spirit is not a literal being separate from the Father and Son like the trinity teaches, but in fact God's own Spirit.

Hebrews 1:8-9 ...'But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.'

Acts 2:33 ...'Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth [to literally pour out] this, which ye now see and hear.'

John 20:19-22 ...'Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you ... And when he had said this, he BREATHED on them, and saith unto them, RECEIVE YE THE HOLY GHOST.'

Note: Jesus is called 'God' in Hebrews 1, because He is the Son of God, and shares the same nature as the Father, ie, Jesus is God because His Father is God. Just like I am human and my son is also human.

Can you see this amazing truth friend? Jesus had to go back to heaven first before the Holy Spirit could be 'sent'. Then when in heaven, Jesus was glorified by the Father with the 'anointing of oil' (Spirit). So God GAVE His Son the promise - the anointing of His Holy Spirit, which was then 'poured out' upon God's people.

"The Father gave His Spirit without measure to His Son." (E. White, RH, November 5, 1908)

"All things Christ received from God, but He took to give." (E. White, Desire of Ages, p. 21)

"A light would come from the Father to the Son and from the Son to the praying company. Then I saw an exceeding bright light come from the Father to the Son, and from the Son it waved over the people before the throne." (E.White, Early Writings, p.55)

What does this prove? 1. The Holy Spirit comes from the Father, as He is the source of all things (1 Corinthians 8:6). 2. The Holy Spirit is given to Jesus Christ the Son of God. 3. The Holy Spirit cannot be a separate being from the Father and Son, because God gives Jesus the Spirit and then Jesus pours out that Spirit like flowing rivers onto His people.
