IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT THEOLOGY, SIMPLY KNOWING THE TRUTH - IT'S HOW WE RESPOND TO TRUTH THAT MATTERS - LIVING THE LIFE OF CHRIST

Have we missed something in the one true God movement? I believe we have. There has been so much focus on theology over the years, defining this and defining that, with ministries competing with other ministries, arguing over definitions, the "definition of sin," the "definition of the Holy Spirit" and so on, with endless, futile debating, even attacking each other in posts and videos. People splitting from ministries and fellowships because they don't define something the same way you do. Brothers and sisters divided over mere definitions! People have even told me they have been warned to stay away from my end-times-prophecy.org ministry, simply because I believe differently regarding the shape of the earth! All the while, the sick and hungry and destitute all around us continue to struggle! Jesus is out there helping them, while we, like the Pharisees, continue to bicker and argue over minute definitions! Absolutely tragic!

We are trying to 'strain a gnat' in the minute definitions we strive over! - "Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel." (Matthew 23:24)

Is it not enough to know that we are born into a sinful nature that is prone to sin and we MUST be born again into the Spirit and overcome sin through Christ? Is is not enough to know that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and of Christ? If we continue to strain at a gnat and argue and divide over mere definitions, then we have COMPLETELY MISSED the point of the gospel of Christ!

In Matthew 25, after speaking about the virgins, showing us that we need to be PREPARING our characters. After speaking about the talents, showing us that we need to be USING what God gave us to help build up His kingdom. Jesus then speaks about His return and look at what He said:

Matthew 25:31-46 ...'When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.'

Does Jesus say that when He comes He will set the sheep on His right hand and say to them ... "come ye blessed of my Father, ye who got the theological definition of sin and the Holy Spirit JUST RIGHT!"? No! Jesus focuses on the GOOD FRUIT that His people produced in helping the poor and needy, relieving and helping the sick and the suffering. Why? Because this is the EVIDENCE of the faith of Jesus within us. Being able to recite the exact theological definition of sin will never save anyone. Listen, we can all agree that we are born into a fallen nature that is prone to sin and that we MUST be born again into the Spirit, just as Jesus said in John 3:3. Is that not truth enough? That is a plain truth we can all unite on. Yes, we must understand that sin is not just breaking the letter of the law, but the spirit of the law also. Oh but no! We have to continue to argue over exact definitions and if we can't agree on the exact definition, then we cannot fellowship together! This is NOT the spirit of Christ!

The prophecy of Isaiah 58 agrees with what Jesus said in Matthew 25, look:

Isaiah 58:4-12 ...'Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord? Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? THEN shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward. Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.'

Then, THEN shall thy light break forth as the morning! WHEN? When we have the exact theological definition of something? No! When we produce GOOD FRUIT in helping those in need, JUST AS JESUS LIVED.

1 Corinthians 13:1-2 ...'Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.'

Many of us in the one true God movement are become 'tinkling cymbals.' Simply making a noise and not achieving much at all. There is so much pride among us which needs to be put away and replaced by the LOVE of Jesus. When people see us, do they see Jesus dwelling within? Or do they simply see someone who wants to get his definition of truth across? Yes, truth is important. The truth of the one true God and His Son is important. The truth about being born again in the Spirit and gaining VICTORY OVER sin NOW in Christ is important. But the minute definitions that we argue and split over is truly tragic! It is ENOUGH to know we are born into a sinful nature and NEED to be born again into the Spirit. It is ENOUGH to know that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and of Christ that comes to us. But it is not enough to just have a theological knowledge about putting on the righteousness of Christ. We must actually put it on and walk in it, fulfilling the law of Christ - the law of LOVE.

Let us become like the disciples approaching the day of Pentecost, who were of "one accord in prayer and supplication," as we approach the final outpouring of the Spirit. Let us stop being like the Pharisees of old, focusing merely on theology and definitions of things, and let us DO what Jesus did. Go out and help those in need, fufilling Matthew 25 and Isaiah 58.

We are entering a time with all the conflicts in the world and oppression and economic troubles, where many people are going to be really struggling. Are we prepared and ready to be a help to those in need? Are we helping those in need now, fulfilling the cause of Christ? Yes, we lead people to the truth of the kingdom of God. But if we simply said to the injured man in the parable of the good samaritan ... "God the Father is the one true God and Jesus is His literal Son" and did nothing for him, I don't think he would have thanked you for it and neither would Jesus. Our Lord COMMDENDED the good Samaritan who actually HELPED the injured person with his temporal NEEDS.

So let us stop arguing and splitting over minute definitions, straining at a gnat and yes, let us unite on the pillars, THE PILLARS of our faith IN LOVE, not straining at minute definitions, and let us start being about our Father's business of DOING GOOD to others. THEN our light will break forth speedily and we will SHINE for Jesus!
