JESUS CAME TO REVEAL THE FATHER, NOT THE TRINITY
There are many Bible verses which state that Jesus Christ came to reveal the Father to the world. And yet there is not one verse in all the Bible which says that Jesus came to reveal the 'Trinity.' Why is that? Simply because there is no Trinity god. It is a man made god that the Bible NEVER speaks of. So let us look at the Bible verses declaring that Jesus came to reveal the Father - who is the "only true God." (John 17:3, 1 Corinthians 8:6).
John 1:18 ...'No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.'
Matthew 11:25,27 ...'At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes ... All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.'
John 1:14 ...'And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.'
John 17:1, 4-6 ...'Father ... I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.'
John 17:25-26 ...'O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.'
Philippians 2:9-11 ...'Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.'
It could not be spelled out any clearer to us. Jesus Christ, the "Son of the living God" (Matt.16:16), came to reveal His Father to the world, not a confusing '3 in 1 trinity god.' Jesus even spelled it out clearly Himself who the 'only true God' is and who our worship should be directed to, look:
John 4:22-24 ...'Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.'
John 17:1-3 ...'Father ... this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.'
John 20:17 ...'Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.'
And the apostles confirmed the very same!
Acts 3:13 ...'The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.'
1 Corinthians 8:4-6 ...'As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.'
Who is the 'God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob'? THE FATHER. He is the 'one God' the Bible speaks of, and He is the one whom Jesus came to reveal. Not some strange '3 in 1 trinity god.' Paul even confirms in 1 Timothy 2:5 that there is 'ONE GOD .... AND ... one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' So how can the 'one God' be the trinity, when there is ALSO a Mediator (Jesus Christ) between that one God and men? That would make FOUR! Do you see the utter confusion regarding the trinity god? Friends, it is time to turn from our idols, to the 'living God.'
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 ...'For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.'
Matthew 16:15-17 ...'He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.'
But are we doing away with the Holy Spirit? No, not at all. We believe in the Holy Spirit, just as the apostles did. So who is the Holy Spirit? Please see our page WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT to find out the truth.
