THE BIBLE SAYS THE LAW OF GOD IS PERFECT - SO WHY WOULD THE SABBATH DAY NEED TO CHANGE?
Psalm 19:7-8 ...'The law of the
Lord is PERFECT, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is SURE, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are RIGHT, rejoicing the
heart: the commandment of the Lord is PURE, enlightening the eyes.'
Is there a man who can go against the Word of Jehovah and say that the law of God is NOT perfect? Is there a man who can say the commandments of the LORD are NOT right, or pure, or sure? Think about it. If something is perfect, then that means it does not need to be changed, or done away with. And yet, by changing the Sabbath day from the 7th day to the 1st, from our Saturday to Sunday, without any authority from God, most professed Christians in the world are basically saying that the law of God was NOT perfect and needed changing. What blasphemy against our Creator.
Psalm 119:172 ...'My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.'
Romans 7:12 ...'Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.'
God's commandments are righteous and holy and just and good, including the 4th commandment concerning the 7th day Sabbath. Therefore it needed not any alteration. Not only was the 7th day Sabbath instituted at creation, when God said that it was all 'very good,' blessing the 7th day and setting it aside for holy use, God then later wrote the 4th commandment with His own finger upon the tables of stone at Sinai, confirming that the 7th day of creation week IS the holy Sabbath day, which Jesus confirmed later was 'made for mankind' (Mark 2:27), NOT for the Jews, as there were no Jews in the garden of Eden. And as we can see above, what God wrote on those tablets of stone was PERFECT. If a schoolboy did a spelling test and got 10 out of 10, a PERFECT score. Would he then CHANGE any of those spellings? Of course not, it's perfect!
GOD IS TOO WISE AND PERFECT TO MAKE A LAW THAT NEEDS ALTERING.
Deuteronomy 4:2 ...'Ye shall NOT ADD UNTO the word which I command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH OUGHT FROM IT, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.'
Matthew 5:18 ...'For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall IN NO WISE PASS FROM THE LAW, till all be fulfilled.'
Not one jot or tittle was to be changed, or diminished or abolished from the law of God. Why? Because it is a perfect law and does not need to be changed. Yes, the ministration of the law changed, ie, from God's commandments being simply engraven on stone to being engraven upon our hearts. And from being ministered by humans to being ministered by the Holy Spirit of Jehovah. That old ministration was done away with, as the apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 3. But the law itself did not change. And the fact that the Son of the living God, Jesus Christ, had to come and die for mankind, due to sin against the law of Jehovah, is irrefutable evidence that the law of God can never be changed or abolished, NOT ONE JOT!
Just take that in. The fact that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our very Creator, had to come and die for us, is proof that the law of God CANNOT be changed or abolished!
The 7th day Sabbath was not even just written on stone. It was instituted during creation week for ALL mankind, before any sin came into the world. And we know it was instituted as the 7th DAY sabbath rest at creation, because in the 4th commandment, God clearly points us to creation week and says that the 7th day IS THE SABBATH DAY. A PERFECT creation, with a PERFECT sabbath rest, included in a PERFECT law. Nothing needs changing here! And this is why the 7th day sabbath will be kept throughout all eternity on the new earth:
Isaiah 66:22-23 confirms ...'For as the NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and FROM ONE SABBATH TO ANOTHER, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.'
... Because the 7th day Sabbath is perfect as it is and needs not to be changed!
The Bible NEVER says the 7th day sabbath is the sabbath of the Jews. But the Bible DOES say it is the "sabbath of the LORD thy God" (Exodus 20:10). The Bible NEVER says the 7th day sabbath is the Jews' holy day. But it DOES say the 7th day sabbath is God's holy day (Isaiah 58:13). The Bible NEVER says the 7th day sabbath was made for the Jews. But it DOES say the 7th day sabbath was "made for mankind" (Mark 2:27). Are you getting the picture? Please do not listen to the falsehoods of man. Listen to the plain Word of God.
God's law is perfect. It is holy. It is righteous, and it never needed to be changed, which is why God never did change His law or His holy sabbath day, the seventh day of the week, which is our Saturday today. It was man who sought to change the law of God, more specifically, that 'man of sin' the Bible talks about, the antichrist little horn power of Daniel 7 - the Papal Church of Rome (Roman Catholic Church). And by believing the law of God was changed or abolished, and that the sabbath was changed or abolished, you are DISTRUSTING God and believing and following the man of sin instead, which will never save a soul!
We need to stop following man and start following a plain 'thus saith the LORD.' The Sabbath is going to factor into the final mark of the beast deception of Satan in this world one day very soon. So please seek the truth and don't be deceived by the traditions of man. Instead, live by the TRUTH of God's Word.
